Carrier Aggregation

Increasing the bandwidth per user, then increasing the data rate per user, the Carrier Aggregation technique is vastly used in 4G and 3G systems allowing more frequency blocks and delivering more resource allocation to a single user.

The Carrier Aggregation can be arranged in Intra-bands contiguous, Intra-band non-contiguous, and Inter-bands non-contiguous.

The intra-band contiguous is the easiest way to arrange the Carrier Aggregation by using a contiguous carrier within the same frequency, but this scenario is not always available. The intra-band non-contiguous arrangement uses the same frequency but gaps in between.

Another arrangement is the inter-band non-contiguous, using different operating frequency bands, and clearly, with gaps in between.

As Mobile Carriers apply different Carrier Aggregation combinations due to the use of different operating frequencies, it is important to cover the maximum number of testing scenarios, to ensure a device can operate in each combination accordingly.

TADTELMAX’s team has been testing Carrier Aggregation in different countries with different mobile operators, delivering to your company a strong technical knowledge on how to perform the test cases, while bringing technical information about the Carrier Aggregation combinations.
